Clint is a quiet, rural community with access to El Paso
Roughly 20 miles southeast of El Paso, Texas, the quiet, rural community of Clint provides a slower pace of life amongst expansive cotton fields, farms and pecan trees. Just a few miles from the U.S.-Mexico border, this small town is home to generations of families who are proud of where they come from. “People who live here like the area because it's very quiet, and it's not crowded like some other parts of El Paso can be,” says area resident Mary Perkins, an agent with Century 21 APD & Associates. “Often, people who live here have had family who have lived here their whole life, so they also choose to settle down in a family-oriented, comfortable community that is familiar to them.”

Homes offer privacy and larger lot sizes than nearby communities
Homes in Clint date back to the mid-20th century, though there's also new construction in developing subdivisions; residents can find manufactured ranch- and Craftsman-style models, as well as Spanish Revival- and adobe-style homes. While there are a relatively small number of homes here in relation to more populated areas, there are many open lots available for building a new home. “The lots are much bigger in Clint than other areas of El Paso, which attracts people who are looking for privacy and who don’t want neighbors right on top of them,” Perkins says. In addition to having larger lot sizes, homes in Clint are also far more affordable in relation to other surrounding El Paso communities, ranging from $100,000 for manufactured and smaller ranch-style homes to $400,000 for homes with larger floor plans.
