A town on the reservoir's edge
Massachusetts’ Clinton neighborhood borders the Wachusett Reservoir, the state’s second largest, which covers 108 square miles. Tucked away from the big city, Clinton offers ample access to parks and recreation. Farmland and other small communities lie in every direction, branching out from the nucleus that is the reservoir. An entire K-12 school system also appears interspersed among this community’s homes, making for an easy educational commute. “It’s a nice downtown area filled with hardworking people,” says Realtor C. J. Agrillo of Coldwell Banker Realty.
Victorians and Colonial Revivals
Homes averaging two stories sit on small, neat lots. Parallel streets form a small grid nestled on the bank of Sandy Pond, weaving their way north toward the floodplain area. Victorians and Colonial Revivals are popular styles, ranging between 1,100 and 4,000 square feet. Their shuttered windows and striking roofs stand out with an authentic historical feel. Most builds hail from the early twentieth or late nineteenth century. “The value of these homes is excellent,” says Agrillo. The two-story buildings average in price from $330,000 to $650,000.
