"We're seeing a lot of families moving to the suburbs on the east side of town," says Jessica Walters, Realtor at Ritchie Realty Group. Convenient access to premier retail destinations and global cuisine make the community a haven for anyone looking to settle down without completely leaving their urban amenities behind.

Midcentury and contemporary homes
Most of Brandywine is known for its modern homes, with the oldest built in the 1970s. The neighborhood's home styles include Contemporary Craftsmen, split-levels and ranch-style homes, often showing the influence of Tudor and Colonial architecture with exposed wood beams and pitched roofs. Houses are on neat, gridded eighth-acre lawns with double car driveways and attached garages to match. Prices start in the low $200,000s for those around the 1,000 square foot mark. The largest homes, built in the 2010s and 2020s, peak in the high $400,000s and feature tree-filled backyards.
Smaller subdivisions in the southwest have midcentury Cape Cods and ranch styles with larger lawns, often exceeding half an acre. These older areas have a less-manicured atmosphere, and homes are priced between the mid-$100,000s and low $200,000s.
