Situated near Everett, Bothell and Mill Creek, Eastmont is a Seattle-area suburb that offers the benefits of those cities at a lower price point. “It’s wedged between so many amazing places that you can get to in five minutes,” says Realtor Kaela Valdes, a managing broker at Kaela and Co. with Keller Williams Greater Seattle who’s sold homes here for over 30 years, “but it’s more affordable here and less competitive than those places. It’s been a sweet spot for a long time.” Highly rated schools and the nearby Mill Creek Town Center, a walkable shopping district, keep demand here high. Many of Eastmont’s over 24,000 residents work in the tech sector, commuting to area employers like Boeing and Meta.

Suburban neighborhoods with views of the Cascade Mountains
The median home sale price in Eastmont is around $900,000, much higher than the national median but lower than Bothell’s $1.1 million and Mill Creek’s $1 million. Homes here sell faster than average, typically spending only 30 days on the market. Eastmont has a suburban feel, with winding, sidewalk-lined streets that end in cul-de-sacs. “You have a good mix of homes,” Valdes says, “so people who want smaller yards with less maintenance and those who want big yards can both find something.” Mid- to late-20th-century ranch-style and split-level homes are common in the west, featuring colorful siding, attached garages and spacious wooded lots. Late 20th-century Craftsman-influenced new traditionals and new construction homes sit close together in the Silver Lake neighborhood. Some homes, particularly in the east, have views of the Cascade Mountains. Low-rise condos and townhouses are near Interstate 5.

A walkable shopping experience at the Mill Creek Town Center
Local restaurants and national retailers like Costco Wholesale are found along 19th Avenue, but Valdes says most locals shop at the walkable Mill Creek Town Center, 4 miles away. “The Mill Creek Town Center is undeniably charming,” Valdes says. “It has an urban village feel and some of the best grocery stores.” The Center includes local and national stores and restaurants, and also hosts popular area events like a summer concert series. The nearby Everett Mall has over 40 stores and is surrounded by shopping centers.

Silver Lake swimming at Thornton A. Sullivan Park
There are several lakes throughout the area that feature walking trails and playgrounds. The 35-acre Thornton A. Sullivan Park, which sits on the shores of Silver Lake, is a local favorite for its large playground, lakeside beach and summer swimming. Nearby, Snohomish Valley Golf Center has a driving range, mini-golf and an ice rink. Arena Sports Mill Creek’s indoor soccer fields host adult and youth leagues. Like much of the Pacific Northwest, Eastmont is frequently cloudy. Summers have average highs in the 70s, and winters are typically rainy with an average of 12 inches of snow.
