Presidents is a small, historic neighborhood on the northwestern end of Edina, Minnesota. Many streets in this community are named after former U.S. Presidents, including Jefferson, Madison and Adams. Single-family homes embody midcentury Cape Cod styles and have spacious lots with tall trees. Many people go jogging on wide streets throughout the area, and cul-de-sacs help reduce traffic and noise. The 5-acre Alden Park has a playground, walking trails and plenty of expansive green spaces. The 42-acre Van Valkenburg Park has several softball fields, a picnic area and a dog park where pet owners can let their canines off the leash. Rolling greens, water hazards and bunkers challenge players at the 18-hole Meadowbrook Golf Course, and the Interlachen Country Club is a popular venue for championship events such as the U.S. Open and the U.S. Women’s Open. School-aged children attend the highly rated Hopkins Public Schools system, beginning at Eisenhower Elementary and moving on to Hopkins West Middle before graduating from Hopkins High School. Major thoroughfares include U.S. Route 169 and state highways 7, 62 and 100. Main Street in Downtown Hopkins is home to several craft breweries and eateries, and the Hopkins Farmers Market is open from summer to fall.
