Valle Hermosa is a Hemet 55-plus community whose name translates to “beautiful valley.” It’s a moniker that can be hard to argue with, with views of the San Jacinto Mountains on virtually every one of the neighborhood’s wide streets. The mountains overlook a collection of established, well-maintained houses within a mile of Hemet’s biggest commercial thoroughfare. “It’s so convenient because it’s one street off Florida Avenue, and it’s super easy to navigate,” says George Williams, a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Associated Brokers Realty, who serves on the Southwest Riverside County Association of Realtors board of directors. The houses around this neighborhood are all very similar — bungalow styles built in the 1970s and '80s, attached at the garage, and between 800 and 1,200 square feet. Williams says they all have private backyards and that most have been cared for over the years. The interiors feature galley-style kitchens, two bedrooms, and one or two bathrooms. Prices fall between $200,000 and $300,000. Some residents in Valle Hermosa are within walking distance of the 12-acre Gibbel Park, with plenty of open field space. “[Residents] can go, they can picnic in there,”
