"We're pretty much right beside each other, except most of Follansbee is down on the riverbank of the Ohio, and you have to go up on top of the hill to get to Hooverson Heights," says Michael "Mac" Casini, the city's office manager. Students are no more than 3 miles from their assigned schools, and community events throughout the year help to bring neighbors together. Ranch-style houses, bungalows and Cape Cods are the most common styles in the community. Still, split-level homes and raised ranches help accommodate the area's gentle hills. The neighborhood also has a small manufactured home community. Prices range between $65,000 and $260,000, depending on a home's condition and size. Grass lawns range from small to mid-sized. Driveways, back alleys and the occasional garage keep vehicles off the neighborhood's narrow roads. Many streets dead-end into the forests surrounding residential clusters. Students may
