The bright and sunny desert oasis of Horizon City has rows of stunning new homes for prospective homebuyers. Despite the surrounding open landscape, the neighborhood is full of picturesque views and shops and restaurants that keep its residents comfortable. “It’s one of the fastest-growing areas around here,” says local Realtor John Wise with NB Elite Realty, who has over 20 years of experience. “The housing market is booming, new development is booming and new restaurants are popping up all the time.”

Newer single-family homes with Spanish influence
Homes in Horizon City are grouped within neighborhood pockets and include mostly brick and stucco structures from the 1990s and early 2000s – though new builds appear on the market every day. Ranch homes, Spanish Revivals and modern Craftsman homes with pillars and front gables are common. These single-family homes are spread out and usually 1,500 to 2,500 square feet in size. “Just about everything is stucco here because brick is so expensive in this area. I’d say the minimum for new housing is $245,000 and then it goes up to around $560,000,” Wise says. Since each home comes with a decently sized lot, residents like to accent their properties with local rock and stone features, plus outdoor living structures like patios, pools and pergolas.
