Why Live in Newland

Huntington Beach’s small Newland neighborhood takes its name from one of the city’s founding families, but the neighborhood itself didn’t take shape until the mid-20th century, when most of its housing was built. While Newland might not stand out to casual observers, residents prize its incredibly convenient location, which offers easy access to Huntington Beach Park and Interstate 405, as well as a direct route to the city’s world-famous beaches. Huntington Beach Hospital, the largest medical center in the city, is located on the south side of the neighborhood. “It’s basically just a quiet, tight-knit community,” says local Realtor Kimber Wuerfel of Kimber/Alana Boutique Real Estate. “It has a nice location if you want a bit of balance in your life.
