Why Live in Farview
Farview is a northern Independence neighborhood about 21 miles from downtown Kansas City. Along closely plotted suburban streets, buyers find a mix of Cape Cod, split-level and ranch-style homes built between the 1950s and 1960s. While housing styles vary, homes are typically smaller and relatively lower-priced, making them popular with young families. Most properties have one-car garages and wide driveways. The neighborhood is connected by narrow sidewalks, shaded by a mix of newly planted saplings and mature oaks. The Winterstone Golf Course is just west of Farview's quiet residential streets. Other recreation destinations, including George Owens Nature Park and Labenite Park, are within several miles of home. For groceries, Sun Fresh and Save A Lot are both off Highway 24. Halls Farm Fresh Produce is a little bit farther away but is a popular spot to pick up seasonal fresh fruit. For more extensive shopping, locals might travel to Independence Center or the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City. Farview's suburban tranquility is within easy driving distance of city entertainment and commuter hubs in both Independence and KC.
