Jupiter may be the largest planet in our solar system, with more than 80 moons in its orbit, but in Palm Beach County, the town of Jupiter actually orbits Limestone Creek. Surrounded on all sides by the larger town, this lakeside enclave is highly sought-after for its secluded, abundantly natural atmosphere. Realtor Sarah Greenberg, founder of Sweet Life Palm Beach, says, “It’s a really unique community in that it’s set in a very wooded and mature oak tree-lined setting. When you drive in all you see are these huge, arched trees.” She notes that the sylvan backdrop is part of why the neighborhood is so popular, but that it’s by no means the only reason. “People fight to get into this neighborhood,” she laughs, citing its location in the midst of Jupiter and its friendly, community-oriented character as two additional features appealing to homebuyers.
Unique homes in a park-like setting
You’ll find everything from pastel stucco-clad ranch-style homes to large Mediterranean and Key West-style homes in Limestone Creek. Greenberg says one of the best things about the homes here is that they’re all distinct. She observes: “Not one house in the neighborhood looks the same, which adds a lot of visual interest. There are two-story homes with wraparound porches, ranches, Key West-style homes, Contemporary homes, everything.” Greenberg adds: “Almost every home here backs up to either a lake or a nature preserve, too. It’s a very nature-oriented, park-like setting where you can walk for miles in the shade thanks to all the mature trees.”
Home prices here vary nearly as widely, ranging between $450,000 and $2 million, depending on the subdivision you’re looking in. Greenberg observes that homes in The Shores, at the northeast end of the community “range from the low $700,000’s up to $1.5, $2 million.” Homes in the southern half of the community tend to fall on the $450,000 to $650,000 spectrum. The median list price for a Limestone Creek home hovers around $800,000, well over the median for Palm Beach County. You can expect to pay close to the median for the neighborhood for a four-bedroom, three-bathroom Key West-style home, featuring an attached two-car garage and lakefront views.
Schools in Jupiter earn high scores
Limestone Creek students are served by the Palm Beach County Public Schools system. Youngsters between preschool and fifth grade attend Limestone Creek Elementary School, tweens between sixth and eighth grade attend Jupiter Middle and older students finish grades nine through 12 at Jupiter Community High School. All three schools are highly rated by Niche. In 2023, both Limestone Creek Elementary and Jupiter Community High earned A grades. That same year, Jupiter Middle received a B-plus. Jupiter Community students enjoy the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of Choice Career Academies and in-house programs, from Army J.R.O.T.C. and Criminal Justice to Horticulture and Medical Sciences.
Parks and nature areas in Limestone Creek
It's not hard to get a breath of fresh air here, where the neighborhood itself is very park-like. But for a more traditional park experience, with sports fields and playgrounds, residents can visit Limestone Creek Park or Jupiter Community Park. The Limestone Creek Natural Area, which connects to the northern end of Jupiter Community Park, also offers residents the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors beyond their backyards. The community parks are also popular gathering places. Greenberg observes: “There are tons of community events going on all the time, from music and movies in the park to cute lemonade stands or fundraiser-type things that kids set up on the corner of the park road. People do happy hour mingling in the parks, too, they’re very well-used by the community.”
Grocery stores and eateries near Limestone Creek
For their groceries, Limestone Creek residents can take advantage of their convenient location by visiting the Publix less than 2 miles south of most homes. The grocery store is in the Chasewood Plaza shopping center off Indiantown Road, where you’ll find your local Walmart Supercenter, too. And just a few blocks west down the main thoroughfare, you’ll find that favorite German import, Aldi. Head a few blocks east, instead, and you’ll find tons of additional shopping and dining options. Between errands, grab a gluten-free, Asian-inspired bowl at Bolay, known for its fresh, health-conscious menu.
