It’s filled with apartments and starter homes that are attractive to first-time buyers. “The low prices are the biggest draw,” says Realtor Ruben Sauceda, who sells homes in the neighborhood with Great American Brokers. “There’s also good access to schools and shopping.” With direct access to downtown Lansing, residents are minutes away from education, healthcare and entertainment. Within walking distance, there are plenty of green spaces and retailers. The median single-family home price is roughly $120,000, which is below Lansing’s median and the national median. Prices range from roughly $80,000 to $220,000. “People take pretty good care of their yards and houses, and a lot of the homes are already renovated before people move him,” Sauceda says. There is a mix of shotgun styles, bungalows, ranch styles and split-levels that were built from the 1940s through the ‘80s. Many of the residents also live in apartments throughout the neighborhood. “They are starting to turn some of the apartments into condos,” Sauceda says.
