High Hampton is an Akron neighborhood near parks and shops
Rolling hills with large homes and spacious lawns fill High Hampton, a neighborhood on the border of Cuyahoga Falls and Akron. “It’s a great place to raise a family – I’ve raised mine here,” says Tom Boggs, Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Stouffer Realty. “The neighborhoods are wonderful; the people are wonderful.” Residents are a short drive from Keyser Park and the sprawling Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Downtown Cuyahoga Falls is about 3 miles away and hosts free events like Falls Downtown Friday, which has activities for kids and adults. Ascot Industrial Park makes up the northern part of the neighborhood, with manufacturers like Ultratech Polymers Inc. and Viasystems.

Trees surround homes and condo communities
Thick collections of oak trees open up to subdivisions in the High Hampton area. Sidewalks line the winding roads and cul-de-sacs, and most homes have wide driveways, two-car garages and manicured lawns. Colonial Revivals and new traditional houses built between the 1980s and early 2000s often feature arched windows and hipped roofs. “There’s all kinds of different homes and prices,” Boggs says. Prices vary depending on the community. Properties in The Highlands typically cost between $350,000 to $425,000, while those in the High Hampton or Cross Creek subdivisions fall between $535,000 and $750,000. In the southern part of the neighborhood, dense forests surround condos built in the 1970s and 1980s. Depending on size, these contemporary units range from $90,000 to $250,000.
