A major employer in the neighborhood
Employing 5,000 workers, the sprawling Amazon Fulfillment Center in Rolling Acres is hard to miss blanketing the footprint of what once was Rolling Acres Mall, a massive retail space that was the emblem of pure 1970s American consumerism before it crumbled into infamy and ruin. “Probably about 10 years ago, they started revitalizing the area,” says Nick Rock, a Realtor with Keller Williams Legacy Realty who sells homes in this part of Akron. “It’s more of a bohemian vibe when you get to the main street, a quiet area that offers easy access to the city and retains affordability.”
