Westwood is served by the Dougherty County School System (DCSS). In 2024, Lake Park Elementary School announced a $43 million budget for a new building with an outdoor learning courtyard. The school has a B grade on Niche and is home to a Medical Arts Magnet program. This program continues at C-minus graded Merry Acres Middle and Westover High School, which has a C grade. The competitive Medical Arts Magnet provides hands-on learning with registered doctors and nurses, allowing students to earn high school or college credits.
