Jade Park consists of manufactured homes on purchased lots near I-25
Jade Park is a community of late 20th-century manufactured homes that occupies the southwest corner of the Interstate 25 and Paseo Del Norte Boulevard intersection. It’s also one of the few communities in the Northeast Heights where manufactured homes come with the land they sit on. “People like that they’re on larger lots, and they’re not lined up like a mobile home park,” says Mandy Erickson, the owner of Sunshine Property Management and Sales. “They have flexibility because they own the land. They can build garages and use the extra space.”
Properties with manufactured homes and room for outdoor amenities
A mix of manufactured and mobile homes makes up most of the housing stock in Jade Park. Homes built from the 1970s through the 1990s mostly sit on sandy or gravel lots behind chain-link fences and sidewalks, some bordered by well-trimmed shrubs and others boasting decorative xeriscaping in the front yard. “It doesn’t feel like you’re living in a mobile home park,” Erickson says. “The streets are wide, and it has a nice neighborhood feel.” Prices range from $80,000 to $250,000. Some homes come with monthly lot rents of $650 to $750, while most include ownership of the land. Lots are usually enough for outdoor living spaces, carports, storage sheds and other accessories.
All-you-can-eat dining at Tomato Café and ABQ Food Park’s many options
To the northwest of the neighborhood, Target and Lowe’s Home Improvement sit near the Tomato Cafe, an all-you-can-eat Italian food bar with an open, exhibition kitchen. On the opposite side of the neighborhood, a collection of food trucks surrounds a string-light-decorated, grassy square at the ABQ Food Park. Local food trucks serving Japanese street food, tacos, South Indian cuisine, lemonade and other refreshments are the main draw, though arts and crafts vendors fill the outdoor space every weekend. “It’s cool and funky,” Erickson says. “There’s only one other food truck place in Albuquerque, so it’s gaining in popularity. The word’s getting out.” Grocery shopping can be done at the Albertsons Market, less than a mile to the east.
Athletic courts at Loma del Norte and North Domingo Baca parks
Jade Park — the neighborhood’s namesake green space — is an oasis of green among asphalt and an otherwise sandy terrain, where towering, mature trees give way to the park’s playground. Slightly east of the neighborhood, paved walking paths at Loma del Norte Park weave around two tennis courts, a basketball court, another playground and a pair of swing sets. Across Paseo Del Norte Boulevard, North Domingo Baca Park has over 50 acres of outdoor amenities — including six tennis courts, a bocce ball court, soccer fields and a skate park, to name a few. Children can scale the park’s playgrounds or cool off on its splash pad during the summer months, while dogs can get some energy out in a spacious sandy enclosure.
At the intersection of Interstate 25 and Paseo Del Norte Boulevard
The Jade Park community is near the intersection of Interstate 25 and Paseo Del Norte Boulevard, one of northern Albuquerque’s major thoroughfares. The interstate leads south toward the center of the city, which is roughly 10 miles away. An ABQ RIDE bus stops along Wyoming Boulevard — which is less than half a mile from the east side of the neighborhood — and travels north to south along Albuquerque’s east side.
Extensive music programming at Del Norte High School
Children in Jade Park are zoned for Edmund G. Ross Elementary School, which earns a B-minus grade from Niche. Afterward, they may move forward to C-rated McKinley Middle School and later, B-rated Del Norte High School. The high school offers an extensive music program consisting of four different bands, chorus, orchestra, guitar club and a summer program for band students. Career-oriented opportunities at the school include a dual credit Teacher Cadet program and Air Force Junior ROTC. Del Norte High School also offers tailored instruction for deaf students and those hard of hearing.

Unique opportunity in a great location. I am moving out of this little gem and am sad to see it go. I live here and I rent two other units on the property that are a steady $3000/month. You can rent the big house ($3000) or just live it in and still the house makes your house payment. It's a very unique set-up. I just can't manage it anymore. All units are in great shape. I've taken very
