Good Earth is an established residential neighborhood on the outskirts of the fastest-growing part of Alexandria, Louisiana. In addition to being close to the latest shopping and dining options along Versailles Boulevard, newcomers are drawn to Good Earth for its lower housing costs and well-ranked public schools. “It’s a really nice area of town,” says Cardell Rubin, a Realtor with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, who lives in Good Earth. “We are close to the very expensive neighborhoods. So, you know that your home is going to hold its value. It’s going to appreciate. Not depreciate.”

Good Earth offers lower housing costs
Homebuyers will find a wealth of ranch homes built from the 1970s through the 1990s. Spacious quarter-acre lots with mature oak trees rest along quiet, sidewalk-free streets that end in cul-de-sacs. Prices range from $180,000 to $250,000. “Your prices are lower there,” says John Walker, a Realtor with The Walker Group and Keller Williams Realty, whose been selling homes in the area for nearly a decade. “It’s a good place to find a starter home.”

My buddy likes the lasagna. They have good wraps there.” A grocery run can be easily handled at the Walmart Neighborhood Market, just east of the neighborhood.
