East Allentown is just south of Route 22 and the Lehigh Valley International Airport, which offers nonstop domestic flights on four major airlines: Allegiant, American Airlines, Delta and United. The Lehigh and Northampton Transportation Authority provides local bus service to the community, with several stops along main streets such as Airport Road and Union Boulevard. “It’s easier to find public transportation in this area,” McCann says. Residents are about 3 miles northeast of downtown Allentown and about 65 miles north of Philadelphia.
