Small-town feel just 6 miles from downtown Allentown

Tucked away in the heart of Lehigh Valley is Hanover — a small township stationed just 6 miles outside of downtown Allentown. In proximity to excellent schools and public parks, Hanover offers a small-town feel and a strong community connection among its residents. "It's a very family-oriented type of place," says local Realtor Tim Getz of Re/Max Real Estate, who lives in Hanover and has been selling homes for 20 years. "It's super convenient, smack-dab in the middle of Lehigh Valley. It's a minute away from two major highways and it's close to shopping. It's just a well-run municipality with a great community, great homes and great schools."

A single-story dwelling can price between $300,000 and $375,000 while larger properties with four bedrooms can range from $400,000 to upwards of $550,000. Head to Hanover Township Municipal Park

Neighborhood kids flock to Hanover Township Municipal Park in droves after school. The community playground is an excellent place to meet for a friendly play date while its basketball courts draw sports lovers from across the township. The park is a stone's throw from the Hanover Township Community Center, which contains a fitness center and gymnasium. The community center's public pool is a hot spot during the humid Pennsylvania summers while the annual Hanover Days Carnival — a yearly celebration featuring carnival rides, food and live entertainment — serves as a fun event for residents. "The community center, every day, they have all kinds of stuff going on," Getz says. "It's a popular place to be in the community because there's so much that they offer."
