Westcliff’s multiple price points make it accessible to most potential homebuyers, making it a sought-after community for those looking to live in the northwest suburbs of Amarillo. The neighborhood is part of the highly-rated Amarillo Independent School District. In fact, the zoned elementary and middle schools are the newest in the district. An exclusively residential neighborhood, shopping and dining are a short drive via Amarillo Boulevard. “It’s a quieter neighborhood,” says Blake Goldston, a Westcliff resident and area director for BeLocal Amarillo, a local magazine. “It’s a very pedestrian community, and you see people walking around or driving their golf carts. Neighbors visit with each other regularly, but we don’t have any official events.”

Diverse home selection in Westcliff

However, some sections on the eastern part of the neighborhood feature sprawling modern homes with touches of Spanish and Tudor architecture. These homes quickly rise to $750,000 to $1.1 million. “The Amarillo housing market is stable,” says Jinger White, a Realtor with ERA Courtyard Real Estate, who has been selling homes in the city for nearly 20 years. “It’s not moving as fast as it was the last three years, and the market in the neighborhood is based on the price point.” On average, listings last 29 days on the market, faster than the national average. Westcliff’s CAP Index Crime Score is a 3 out of 10, lower than the national average of 4.
