The community is centered around a Walmart Supercenter and Fred Meyer at the intersection of DeBarr Road and Muldoon Road, where locals can pick up groceries and other household items. Just north of Glenn Highway is Tikahtnu Commons, an outdoor shopping center with stores like Target, Burlington, Lowe's and Costco. They've got a lot of homes that were built in the 1950s and 1960s," Tolbert says. The area has a suburban feel, but some homes are situated on larger lots that offer more privacy and room for activities. In the neighborhood's more secluded and forested parts, buyers can find A-frame log cabins surrounded by mature pines. Many homes in the neighborhood offer a glimpse of the towering Chugach Mountains to the east. Buyers can find three-bedroom homes for $350,000 to $500,000. Four-bedroom houses typically cost between $400,000 and $600,000.
