A conveniently located, established community
Surrounded by wilderness to the east and the highway to the north, Northeast Anchorage is a scenic, conveniently located neighborhood that gives residents access to all that the city offers. "I would say the location is the main draw. It's a great location within Anchorage. If you're heading downtown, it's right there, less than a five-minute drive. If you're heading to the military base, it's convenient," says Janis Tolbert, an associate broker and realtor with Berkshire Hathaway Home Service Alaska Realty, who has sold several homes in the neighborhood. Living in Northeast Anchorage puts residents just minutes away from the popular attractions and activities of downtown while still providing daily needs and recreational opportunities at home.

For one of the most popular restaurants in town, residents can hop on Glenn Highway for a quick 5-mile drive to Lucky Wishbone. You get real pieces of strawberry in there," Tolbert says. For other downtown options—like Glacier Brewhouse, 49th State Brewing and Simon & Seafort’s Saloon & Grill—residents can make the quick 5-mile drive along Glenn Highway.
