Come for the park, stay for the convenience
While the namesake park steals the show, Russian Jack Park is an Anchorage neighborhood known for its convenience and many amenities. "There's some hiking that people do in the park. There are softball fields nearby, so it's definitely close to recreation," says Gail Dossman-Tolliver, an associate broker with Jack White Real Estate who has sold several homes in the neighborhood. "Proximity to schools is a big draw. It's really close to the military installation. As far as transportation, there are bus routes in the neighborhood." Located just south of Glenn Highway and north of Northern Lights Boulevard, residents of this community are just minutes from shopping, dining and recreation. The neighborhood has a colorful past, as it's named after a bootlegger and once served as a prison farm, but today, it is a quiet community with midcentury homes that features one of Anchorage's most popular parks.

I like that there is a park nearby. It is a quiet neighborhood, I haven't really experienced anything bad. Lots of kids play around the area as well. They did put up mini round abouts since people like to speed.
