Hike, ski or golf at Russian Jack Springs Park
Russian Jack Springs Park is the highlight of the neighborhood, featuring over 300 acres of recreational activities. It’s a popular spot for hiking or biking on the trails. Winter brings cross-country skiing and sledding on one of the best hills in the city. Its sports facilities include baseball fields, soccer fields and a public golf course. The park also has a way to escape Anchorage's brutal winter temperatures. “There is a super cool greenhouse at the entrance to Russian Jack Springs Park on DeBarr Road. This time of year, especially, it’s really nice to go in there,” says Christopher Scott, an associate broker at Jack White Real Estate who has sold several homes in the neighborhood. “It’s just really nice to walk through and see the greenery, to get in a tropical place when you’re in the zero degrees in Alaska.”
The public Russian Jack Springs Golf Course is a popular spot for a round on a nice day.

I love living in this neighborhood and have almost never felt threatened while living here. I grew up in this neighborhood, I would never want to grow up any where else. I have very fond memories or riding my bike around the block, dancing in sprinklers and even learning how to skateboard with my dad. The housing could have been a little better but I am overall very satisfied.
