Visit the Big House to cheer for the local team

The Michigan Stadium is something of a community landmark. What locals call “the Big House” is the University of Michigan’s historic football stadium, known for being the largest stadium in the U.S. and the third largest stadium in the world. “They host all kinds of sports there and people love going to watch. Especially if it’s a big game like Ohio State vs Michigan, everyone is going to be there,” says a State Street Village Apartments employee. “If you love football, this is the place to be.” With the stadium so close by, it can get noisy during some of the more popular games. Luckily, most homes are on the eastern side of the neighborhood, opposite the stadium.
