Residential community within reach of Michigan Stadium
Within a few miles of the largest college stadium in America, Michigan Stadium, the South Maple neighborhood of Ann Arbor is a football-loving community with proximity to some of the most well-regarded schools in the state. "You can feel the energy on the ground from thousands of fans in the stadium on football Saturdays," says Realtor Dawn Yerkes of Coldwell Banker Weir Manuel. "Many people come from out of town for games and even move here to be close to the excitement."
Locals live in condos off South Maple Road
Attached homes comprise most of South Maple's housing stock. Branching off the community's primary thoroughfare are condominium complexes from the 1960s and luxury townhome communities from the early 21st century. Summit View is a sprawling condo community with one and two-bedroom options for $200,000, with complex amenities such as an indoor pool and racquetball courts. Other condo communities include Maple Meadows and Pinelake Village. New-age townhomes afford three bedrooms and nearly 2,000 square feet for price tags around $450,000. A few detached bungalows and cottages from the 1950s and '60s offer moderately wooded lots with a bit of space from neighbors for prices between $250,000 and $450,000. The streets in the community are lined with sidewalks and crosswalks so locals can safely walk to the park or the store.

Locals browse the storefronts at Westgate Shopping Center
"This is a really centrally located neighborhood," Yerkes says. "You can easily walk to several grocery stores, restaurants and shops." There are ample shopping and dining options within walking distance in South Maple. For organic produce, many shoppers head Ann Arbor's "original organic grocery," Arbor Farms Market. The local market has served the community since 1979 with access to grass-fed beef, local beer and organic produce. And if locals would rather have dinner out of the house, Zingerman's Roadhouse is a popular spot known for its savory pork. Other options include Dimo's Deli and Donuts, where locals can grab hearty sandwiches and freshly made donuts.
