The suburbs of Quaker Acres with elements of rural living
Quaker Acres is where rural meets suburban in western Arvada. Horses gallop on private properties in the northern region, and residential streets span the remaining landscape. "It's a peaceful, mature neighborhood with larger lots, good walkability and connections to Quaker Acres Park and Tucker Lake," says Sherri Gill, a Realtor with Keller Williams Avenues Realty LLC with five years of experience. The neighborhood is removed from busy commercial districts and separated from the Rocky Mountains by open hilly terrain that grows in elevation going west. Somewhat isolated, this neighborhood receives a 1 out of 10 crime score on the CAP Index, while the nation earns a 4.

Trails connecting open spaces, sports fields and neighborhood parks
Quaker Acres is sandwiched between two expansive green spaces woven with trails, the Pattridge Open Space and Long Lake Regional Park, where there are baseball diamonds and synthetic turf fields. “Although Quaker Acres Park and Tucker Lake are public, they act more as a neighborhood park and lake. They are slightly busier on the weekend,” Gill says. The park includes a playground with slides and a spinning bar structure. Tucker Lake Trail encircles the fishing area by the same name. “[Quaker Acres is] surrounded by miles of walking, hiking and biking trails, with exceptional mountain views.” West Woods Golf Club is nearby, with a course spanning 27 holes.
