Increased risk of wildfires
The dense forestry and high summer temperatures can possibly facilitate wildfires, leaving the area at risk for fire and lessened air quality. The city provides resources for reducing the risk, including fire-adapted landscaping, preparing for wildfires and creating clean air spaces. It also enforces weed abatement in yards during the summer.
