Homes in Oglethorpe sit behind tree-lined streets on neatly mowed lawns. Oaks fill the lawns with leaves in the fall, and some towering pines add pinecones and needles to the mix. "There's not a lot sidewalks, so a lot of people will head to Bishop Park for recreation," Dr. Evans says. While a few mid-century modern homes are throughout, buyers will mostly find ranch-style houses from the 1950s and '60s. They usually measure between 1,000 and 1,500 square feet and have three to four bedrooms. Houses cost between $215,000 and $330,000. Some residents have renovated their homes, which has increased their value to over $330,000. On Prince Avenue, two-bedroom condominiums cost between $200,000 and $225,000.Tennis at Bishop Park
