Many of the ranch-style houses have brick exteriors, and the wood-sided split-levels are sometimes painted playful colors. With lot sizes around a quarter-acre, neighbors have a little breathing room, and yards have space for mature trees and off-street parking. Most of the houses were built in the 1970s and ‘80s, and Screws says many need renovations. Prices typically range from around $170,000 to $290,000, and some of the homes are available for rent.
