Scenic golf course community in Auburn
Moore's Mill has a strong reputation in southern Auburn for its custom-built homes and proximity to a private country club minutes from downtown. "It is one of our elite neighborhoods," says Gloria Gittings, a longtime Auburn resident with over a decade of experience selling homes in the area. "They've got a really nice golf course. It's probably one of the nicest in town." Though residents don't need to be members of the private club to live in Moore's Mill, many still join the club for its numerous amenities.

Custom-built estates and luxury townhomes
Moore's Mill mostly consists of custom homes on large lots, some with golf course views. "Most of the homes are '90s-built custom homes," Gittings says. "It's very seldom that something comes on sale in that neighborhood, and when it does, it probably won't stay on the market very long because it's a really sought-after area." Single-family home prices vary greatly depending on lot size, with some homes selling between $360,000 and $600,000, while larger homes can go $700,000 to $900,000. Luxury townhomes, meanwhile, tend to go for $400,000 to $600,000.

Easy route to downtown Auburn
Moores Mill Road leads straight to the heart of downtown Auburn as well as the campus for Auburn University, both about 3 miles away. Interstate 85 is often used to travel to Auburn's sister city of Opelika, about 7 miles away. East Alabama Medical Center, a 314-bed hospital, is about 6 miles, and a small regional airport is just north of the neighborhood. Though I-85 is close, there's no direct exit from the highway to the neighborhood, so traffic isn't a major issue.
