Established neighborhood west of downtown Auburn
A couple miles west of downtown Auburn, Willow Creek is one of several subdivisions between Richland Road and Alabama State Route 14. All of them have access to the city's highly rated schools. But mature trees and a private lake help Willow Creek stand out. “It’s definitely a more established neighborhood compared to the other neighborhoods in that area of Auburn,” says Jon Lomax, an agent at LURE Ludlum Real Estate. “A lot of people don’t want to be in those brand new neighborhoods where there’s no trees and the houses are stacked on top of each other.”
Homes in Willow Creek surround the community lake, and some houses have private docks.
Willow Creek features a variety of home styles including ranch.

Ranch and farmhouse-style homes in Willow Creek
Lots in Willow Creek generally run larger than in newer subdivisions. Houses are set back from narrow roads, which run past tall Alabama pines that grant homeowners more privacy. Builds from the 1970s are common south of the lake, while homes from the 1990s and 2000s are more often found north of the lake. “Some houses there are actually on the water,” Lomax says. Older homes are generally midcentury and ranch styles, while newer builds are often farmhouse or New Traditional. Prices range between the mid-$300,000s and mid-$500,000, usually based on square footage.
