Acreage and farmland in Green River - Green Valley
Inland of Washington's northwest coast, Green Valley – Green River marks the beginning of Auburn's rural countryside, with family farms and dense riverside forests about 30 miles south of Seattle. In the 1800s, this river valley was a thoroughfare for dairy farms and coal mines. Today, Green Valley – Green River has maintained its identity as a diverse agricultural neighborhood on the city's outskirts, with a slow-paced lifestyle and access to metropolitan centers. "It's a rural area with an interesting mix of estate-style properties built on the sediment of the Green River," says Todd Huizenga, broker at Keller Williams Mountains to Sound with over 15 years of experience. "The Green Valley has very fertile farmland, and the soil is great for equestrian facilities."
