A tight-knit community located close to major employers
When returning World War II veterans lived in temporary villages from a lack of housing, Hoffman Heights answered the call of duty. Over 1,600 homes were built through the 50s in a prime location for service members stationed at surrounding hospitals and bases. The tight-knit community that followed built its own schools and fire station before the city annexed it. While Aurora has grown in the following decades, residents of Hoffman Heights still cherish its quality housing stock and proximity to the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus a block north of the community and Buckley Space Force Base toward the east.

Siberian elms and ranch-style homes
Wide residential streets make up the majority of the Lyn Knoll neighborhood, where homes built throughout the 1950s run alongside each. Dense Siberian elm and occasional evergreen trees are found throughout front yards and provide spots of shade for those taking afternoon strolls along the community’s narrow sidewalks. Sitting back from the streets are relatively uniform ranch-style homes, typically with red-brick exteriors. Connecting each to the street are driveways large enough for one vehicle, though many tend to park along the wide streets. Potential homebuyers can expect a price range from $300,000 for a three-bedroom home to $500,000 for a larger, recently remodeled four-bedroom house.
The ranch style homes in Hoffman Heights are traditionally brick.
Ranch style homes will sometimes have vinyl exteriors.
