Revelry

Revelry is a creative new development near major employers

Revelry is an up-and-coming Austin development led by Starwood Land that hopes to bring the city’s creative spirit to the suburbs. Part of the neighborhood’s appeal is its location, with major employers like Tesla and the airport less than 10 miles away and downtown Austin less than 20 miles away. The early stages are focused on building single-family and multifamily housing, but residents can expect their homes to be a short walk from local shops, public art and plenty of green space.

Single-family homes are being built, with more on the way

Austin has approved over 2,300 single-family homes for the Revelry community. Early models built in 2026 are from DRB Homes and D.R. Horton and are often New Traditional styles with Craftsman influences. Prices will start at the low $300,000s, which is on par with the median single-family home price of nearby communities like Circuit of the Americas. Later additions will introduce more builders, including Perry Homes, as well as multifamily properties from Avison Young, which is also leading Revelry’s commercial development. “People want to feel like they’re from someplace and they’re part of a community,” says Mike Kennedy, principal of capital market groups at Avison Young. “Maybe they even know their neighbors, and they have areas where they can go have a block party or neighborhood picnics.”

Proximity to Tesla, the airport and downtown Austin is a draw

Revelry is less than 10 miles from two of the region’s main employers: Austin-Bergstrom International Airport and Tesla Gigafactory Texas, the company’s global headquarters. “The big news in the area is the employment that’s coming, and that’s already happening,” Kennedy says. The airport is adding 32 new gates and creating new jobs, both during construction and once the gates open in the early 2030s.

While Revelry itself will be very walkable, you’ll probably need a car to get around the larger metro area. Because downtown Austin is less than 30 minutes away, residents can attend city events, try a new restaurant or visit city attractions like the Blanton Museum of Art.

Commercial developments are in the works

Revelry’s mixed commercial development is already being built. “I think you can expect a lot of strip retail with neighborhood businesses,” says Sullivan Johnston, senior vice president at Avison Young. The one exception is at the corner of Wolf and Piece lanes, which Sullivan says will be somewhat of a town center, with possible storefronts like a daycare and a restaurant. “The timeline is going to largely depend on the delivery of the utilities in the different districts within the overall development,” Johnston says. She and Kennedy estimate most businesses will be up and running by the early 2030s.

New and existing recreational amenities offer plenty to do

"From miles of trails and more than 500 acres of open space to the integration of local art and gathering places, every detail of Revelry is inspired by Austin's creative spirit and commitment to the outdoor," says Mike Moser, CEO of Starwood Land.

  • Open fields and greenbelts for residents to explore
  • 10 miles of multiuse trails
  • An amenity center with a community pool
  • An event space that will have live music and other get-togethers
While residents are waiting for everything to open, they can take advantage of the recreation already available in the region. The Circuit of the Americas racetrack is about 5 miles away and hosts the annual Formula 1 United States Grand Prix, as well as concerts and car shows. Nature lovers only need to travel 10 miles to McKinney Falls State Park, where they can hike, fish and swim.

Revelry plans to build two new Del Valle schools

The community is part of the Del Valle Independent School District, which offers school choice through intradistrict and interdistrict transfers that must be renewed annually. "Two school sites have also been reserved within the mater plan for future Del Valle ISD campuses - part of Starwood Land's commitment to supporting the district's growth and strengthening the broader community fabric," Moser says.
