Million-dollar homes from Agate Passage to forests
Shake siding decorates a mix of architecture built between the 1960s and 1990s, including Cape Cod and new traditional. Depending on a property’s acreage, list prices fall between $1 million and $2.2 million. Some lots along the water have private beaches and space for a pool. Inland, undeveloped, forested properties under an acre list between $230,000 and $350,000. With low housing turnover and scenic water vistas, Agate Point’s homes price above both the national and Bremerton metro area averages. “Agate Passage Bridge is nicknamed the ‘$600,000 bridge’ because, as soon as you cross it, homes are $600,000 more, though I would change that name to the million-dollar bridge because that’s more what it’s like now,” Sinclair-Bennett says.Trails and preserves along Agate Passage
Agate Passage Preserve covers over 12 acres along the neighborhood’s western waterfront. Trails lead through 13 acres of wetlands and meadows to steps leading down to Agate Passage’s rocky shore. Opened in 1988, Bloedel Reserve contains 140 acres of forests and gardens, maintained by volunteers and explored with the purchase of a timed ticket. Further east, West Port Madison Nature Preserve has 13 acres, with picnic shelters and a wooded nature trail to the waterfront. Over 50 species of birds, including geese and gulls, are spotted along the trail and the shoreline.Classes and CTE student clubs on Bainbridge Island
