Quiet streets meet Murden Cove
Rolling Bay City overlooks the Cascade Mountains from the western shore of Murden Cove. Trees line the streets through the neighborhood to the town center, where the Post Office is locally known to have the best stamp collection on Bainbridge Island. “The roads around Rolling Bay are quiet, so people are out there all the time walking their dogs," says Carleen Gosney, a managing broker with Windermere Real Estate Bainbridge, Inc., who has over two decades of experience. "It’s just so nice to have places where neighbors know neighbors, and they meet at coffee shops and walk the streets."
Along the shores of Murden Cove, Rolling Bay City is a tight-knit community with tons of charm.

Beach access and Sakai Park’s trail and troll
Yaquina Beach End Access and Manitou Beach Open Space offer unobstructed views of the mountains and the Seattle skyline. Wildlife, including crabs and great blue herons, can be spotted along the rocky shores. Spanning more than 22 acres, Sakai Park includes a fitness trail that connects to the Sound to Olympics (STO) trail, a paved path that stretches over a mile from Winslow to Sakai Park’s pond. Pia the Peacekeeper, an 18-foot wooden troll, at the park's entrance, was created as a statement about the importance of reducing and reusing waste. Aaron Tot Lot’s playground is just south of the neighborhood, across from the Wing Point Golf & Country Club’s private 18-hole course.

Old-fashioned general store and local businesses
Since 1979, the town center just north of the neighborhood has been anchored by Bay Hay & Feed. “It’s an old-time country store, where if you need propane you can get it there, or if you’ve got a problem with your plants you can bring in a cutting and they’ll tell you what’s going on,” Gosney says. While local organic produce is available in-store, a Safeway is roughly a mile south in the Island Village shopping center. Across from Bay Hay & Feed is Via Rosa 11, a popular and authentic Italian dining experience with a menu that includes homemade pasta and brick-oven pizzas. Eagle Harbor Winery provides an expansive collection of blends that can be enjoyed on the outdoor patio or in tasting rooms.
