Bainbridge Island community home to scenic vistas
Yeomalt Point sits on the eastern edge of Bainbridge Island, where homes overlook Seattle’s skyline and the Cascade Mountains. These scenic vistas and the proximity to outdoor recreation are why many who started as Seattle residents now stay full-time on the island and commute on the nearby ferry. Since the neighborhood’s million-dollar properties have become generational homes, many may only get the chance to experience the area’s natural calm through vacation rentals.
Yeomalt Point is situated along Bainbridge Island's shoreline with views of Downtown Seattle.
There are a number of homes in Yeomalt Point that boast enviable views of the nearby water.

Log cabin, tot lot and Sakai Park’s troll
Camp Yeomalt Cabin, a log cabin structure built in 1935, is used today for special events and community performances. For over 50 years, the historic site was used as a Boy Scout camp. Aaron Tot Lot’s nature-themed playset is surrounded by mature trees shade and sits adjacent to the Wing Point Golf & Country Club. Memberships are required to play the 18-hole course, with options ranging from social and dining to equity-holding at the proprietary level. “Sakai Park has our resident troll and good walking trails, so groups gather to walk with their dogs, and kids go to play on the troll,” says Carleen Gosney, a managing broker with Windermere Real Estate Bainbridge Island Inc. who has over 20 years of experience on the island. The famous giant wood trolls are scattered throughout the greater Seattle area, a trend which started in nearby Bainbridge. The troll sculptures were erected as a reminder that even garbage and other materials are resources and can be reused.
In Yeomalt Point, Camp Yeomalt is home to a one-story lodge originally built for the Boy Scouts.
At Aaron Tot Lot, Yeomalt Point residents can tucker their kids out on the play structures.

Shore homes along no outlet roads
Between the shore and the side streets, Colonial Revival and Craftsman houses were built in the 1950s and early 2000s, while Prairie-inspired homes were built in the 1980s. Depending on proximity to the water, homes are priced between $1.1 million and $1.7 million. Homes sit on the end of forested, no outlet roads, giving the area a more secluded feel. The neighborhood earns a 1 out of 10 CAP Index crime score, compared to the national average of 4. Homes, if in low bank zones, are located farther back from the shore, and in higher bank areas, they are built on hillsides with steps to the water. Both the distancing and elevation can lend to combatting potential flood risks.
Colonial Revival homes are just one type of architecture found on the streets of Yeomalt Point.
Homes in Yeomalt Point can be found along the shoreline with plentiful access to the water.

Swinging over to Winslow to shop and dine
The neighborhood’s main shopping and dining area is roughly 2 miles south in Winslow, Bainbridge Island’s downtown. “Coquette Bake Shop is an adorable bakery where people sit inside and outside, and it’s always busy,” says Andrea Mann, a local broker with Windermere Real Estate West Sound, Inc. “The building was called Bainbridge Bakers for many years, and that also was a hub for people to grab coffee, and you’d always run into someone you know.” Town & Country Market is a family owned establishment and local anchor. In addition to popular restaurants such as Café Hitchcock, there are local shops, including Eagle Harbor Books and The Lamb & Kid, a yarn store.
