Nearby shopping at the Northwest Promenade
The Northwest Promenade shopping center is in the neighborhood’s south, within walking distance of many homes. National retailers here include The Home Depot and Old Navy, and groceries are available at Target, Walmart and Vallarta Supermarkets. While most of the area’s eateries are chains like Chick-fil-A and Red Lobster, there are also a few locally owned favorites. The Kern County Fair and Events Center is about 9 miles away and hosts some of Bakersfield’s biggest events, including the namesake Kern County Fair.
