Welcome to Levindale, a tiny community in North Baltimore. Nestled between the renowned Pimlico Race Course and the Cylburn Arboretum, Levindale contains a small pocket of homes, but is mostly comprised by two hospital campuses—Sinai Hospital and the Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital.

Housing stock here ranges from detached single-family homes to duplexes and traditional Baltimore row house options. Prospective buyers can choose from Arts and Craftsman styles, like bungalows and cottages, or opt for a semi-detached duplex or row home featuring narrow floorplans and red-brick facades. Some homes also include metallic awnings over windows and doors, while others feature short-stoops and roofed front porches. The average sales price in Levindale is $150,000, but varies depending on the age, size, and condition of the property. For those looking to rent, Levindale also offers a variety of multi-family apartment options.

Students here attend Baltimore City Public Schools like The Mount Washington School (serving prekindergarten through eighth grades) and Forest Park High (serving ninth through twelfth grades). With a student body of nearly 850 pupils, Forest Park offers a dual enrollment program for earning college credits early, as well as a wide variety of extracurriculars. Students can choose to participate in clubs like the SGA, the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship or the Future Business Leaders of America group. Forest Park also partners with the local YMCA to provide additional learning opportunities for students during and after school, like overnight college tours, guest speakers, service-learning hour events and a variety of internship placements.

For all of your daily essentials, residents can head over to Park Heights Avenue, where they'll find an assortment of casual eateries and take-out spots, as well as gas stations, pharmacies and mini markets. For additional shopping options, residents will find big-box retailers and well-known chains like Dollar Tree, Harvest Fare Supermarket and Roses Discount Store, at Reisterstown Station.

Sinai Hospital, an integral part of this community, has been serving patients in North Baltimore for over 150 years. Originally founded in 1866 to support Jewish doctors and patients during a time of antisemitism, today Sinai is a diverse and multicultural facility, equipped with over 438-beds, an emergency trauma ward and a children’s center too. Similarly, the neighboring Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital is a 330-bed facility that offers a range of post-acute services for patients who have suffered a life-altering illness or injury; and is accredited by both the Joint Commission and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities.

For some time outdoors, residents of Levindale will love having the Cylburn Arboretum as a part of their extended backyards. Featuring over 200-acres of natural landscapes, gardens and plenty of mature tree species to explore, you can plan a picnic, walk the many trails or enjoy a book by a tree-shaded pond. Come springtime, don’t miss a minute at the historic Pimlico Race Course! Watch the Preakness Stakes, join in the Triple Crown fun and cheer your horse to victory.

When it’s time for a change of pace, residents of Levindale can access Downtown Baltimore and the surrounding areas via the Light Rail, the MTA bus system, or Interstate 83. Plan a trip to the Inner Harbor and enjoy the waterfront promenade or visit the National Aquarium for a day of marine life.
