Less than 10 miles from Downtown Baton Rouge, the Oak Hills Place subdivision is waiting to welcome you home. That doesn’t mean there’s no older housing, however, if that’s what you prefer. The neighborhood also has its own 12-acre lake, maintained by volunteers. It's close to entertainment and shopping districts such as the Mall of Louisiana and Bluebonnet Boulevard, as well as Tiger Stadium and Louisiana State University. Oaks Hills Place is an inviting suburb on the outskirts of Baton Rouge. Homes in the Oak Hills area come in a wide variety of styles and prices. In fact, a home can range from $185,000 for a house needing TLC, to several million for an estate-style dwelling with five bedrooms and six baths. Much of the housing stock is custom built, and large residences are common, especially closer to the lake. Slightly more established homes tend to be traditional designs including Acadians, French Provincial and ranch-style dwellings.
