Sprawling sports complex

Bayou Country Sports Park is across Highway 311. This sports complex, managed by Terrebonne Parish, features five softball fields, five baseball fields, and eight soccer fields. The splash pad is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day each year, although it may open sooner or close later if the weather permits. Throughout the year, several ponds are stocked with fish, including rainbow trout, catfish and bass. Bayou Country Sports Park hosts tournaments and events, including The Good Earth 4th of July Festival. After hours of live music and local food, attendees can lay on the fields and watch the fireworks display.

Terrebonne Parish schools earn B-minus or higher

Ouiski Bayou Estates is part of the Terrebonne Parish School District. Southdown Elementary receives a B-minus from Niche, while Houma Junior High School has a B-plus. Terrebonne High School earns an A-minus and offers dual enrollment courses through Nicholls State University, about 15 miles away. Many families in Houma send their kids to private schools, such as St. Bernadette School and Vandebilt Catholic High School.
