People can also drive themselves, and U.S. Route 217 borders the neighborhood, bringing them about 9 miles to Portland. Portland International Airport is about 22 miles away and offers nearly 70 nonstop flights.Parkside Business District in southern Vose
The Parkside Business Center is in the southern part of the neighborhood and is home to a variety of shops, restaurants and studios, including the Encore Performing Arts Center. “We really honor the different dance styles that need representation,” Dawn says. “We welcome anyone.” After a class at the studio, locals can visit Beaverton Florists and get dinner at Si Señor Family Mexican. They can also explore one of the several restaurants in downtown Beaverton, about 2 miles from Vose. Dawn highlights the BG Food Cartel, which features stations from more than 15 restaurants. “We love to support local businesses,” Dawn says. Locals get their groceries from WinCo Foods, Safeway and Trader Joe’s, all about 2 miles away. Target is about 3 miles away and Lowe’s is about a 5-mile drive.Providence St. Vincent Medical Center about 5 miles outside Vose
The Providence St. Vincent Medical Center, which is about 5 miles from Vose, is one of the closest emergency rooms. Besides emergency care, the center is highly regarded for the Providence Heart Institute, Providence Center for Health Care Ethics and its maternity services, which delivers more babies than any other Oregon hospital.
