Quiet living along the Saco River in North Biddeford

North Biddeford was once an area that specialized in exporting lumber and fish. The community sits at the bend of the Saco River and is abundant in native trees. The residential development has been slow-going but steady. Sitting on the outskirts of Biddeford, this community is relatively rural with quiet, curving roads, stretching fields where horses roam and plenty of privacy between neighbors. While some midcentury architecture still stands and is actively being maintained, most homes in North Biddeford are products of the 2000s due to the city’s expansion. Despite the secluded feel of North Biddeford, it’s still only 4 to 5 miles from the city’s downtown area.
