Quiet suburban community close to Birmingham's parks and commerce
After the Civil War, the neighborhood of Zion City started as a community of formerly enslaved people. Today, residents live in a hilly, forested streetscape of affordable homes. Ben Hedden, a Broker at Bham Realty with over $58 million in sales, says, "Zion City has a lot of affordable properties, mostly sub-$100,000 homes in good condition. The price point is a big draw, but it's a pretty decent area." Homes are within 6 miles of public spaces like East Lake Park and Ruffner Mountain and shopping along Parkway East.
