Boca Raton Riviera
Upscale multimillion dollar estates
Boca Raton Riviera is about as close to the water as Boca Raton gets, a perk that raises home prices in the neighborhood. Single-family homes typically start at $2 million but can run up to $21 million for estates along a channel of Lake Boca Raton. However, home prices are comparable to nearby communities like the Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club. Prospective residents can find everything from spacious ranch homes to custom-built properties. Condos typically cost between $1 million and $3 million, depending on square footage.Easy oceanfront access
One of the neighborhood’s biggest draws is the proximity to the ocean. South Beach Park is the closest park to the neighborhood, spanning over 24 acres of sandy shores. The park is a prime surfing spot with its steady flow of waves. Nearby Red Reef Park has a snorkel trail that features over a dozen artificial reefs. “The beaches are well kept by the city. They’re lifeguarded and well-maintained and within walking distance for many residents,” Niles says. Yacht owners can join the Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club, which can dock vessels up to 130 feet.Upscale shopping and restaurants in Downtown Boca Raton
Palmetto Park Road, on the southern end of Boca Raton Riviera, leads to the city’s downtown area. US Route 1 and its surrounding streets are lined with shopping centers, restaurants and local businesses. Mizner Park has several boutique shops, clothing stores, and beloved local spots like Max’s Grille. “It’s kind of like a Boca Raton landmark,” Niles says. Royal Palm Place is a little further down US-1, filled with designer stores and fine dining restaurants.Mizner Park celebrates the arts
In addition to being one of Downtown Boca’s premier shopping and dining destinations, Mizner Park also hosts many of the city’s events. One of the biggest is the annual Boca Raton Museum Art Festival, which has been going strong for over 38 years. The city invests heavily in its artists, and it is shown in the Festival of the Arts BOCA, an almost two-week-long celebration of renowned film, theater and orchestra performances. Mizner Park is also home to the Mizner Park Cultural Center, which hosts theater performances throughout the year.Highly-rated schools in the Palm Beach County Schools District
J.C. Mitchell Elementary School, part of the Palm Beach County School District, has a B-plus grade on Niche. Boca Raton Community Middle School, rated A-minus, offers an array of clubs and after-school programs like a robotics club and debate team. The middle school also offers a pre-medical sciences program that includes several health science courses. Boca Raton High School, rated A-plus, is the only school in the state with an A rating from the Florida Department of Education for 16 years straight.US Route 1 leads to Miami
Ocean Boulevard, on the eastern end of the neighborhood, gives residents an easy route to the many beaches and parks along the coastline. US-1 is accessible through Palmetto Park Road and serves as a major thoroughfare to get around South Florida. Fort Lauderdale is about 18 miles away, and Miami is about 48. The closest major airport, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, is about 26 miles away. Residents in need of medical care are 3 miles from Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital.
