Camino Gardens
Classic 60s era ranch homes
Camino Gardens was initially developed in the 1960s in the heart of Boca Raton’s intracoastal waterway. Ranch homes are the most common build in the neighborhood, and all homes along the palm tree-lined roads are one level. “There are a couple of homes where people have raised the roof for higher ceilings, but all of the homes are one level,” Rey says. Some homes are along the waterway and offer boat owners a private docking space. Home prices typically range between $900,000 and $1.7 million.Swimming with the fish at Red Reef Park
Being on Boca Raton’s eastern side gives residents a quick drive to the coastline, which is lined with beaches and parks. Boca Isles Park and the Boca 18th Street Playground have play areas for parents looking to take their kids on a quick outdoor outing. Along the oceanfront, Red Reef Park is popular for its snorkeling areas and surfing spots. South Beach Park has dozens of acres of sandy shores that consist of three different swimming areas.Highly-rated schools in the Palm Beach County School District
Kids in Camino Gardens will be zoned to highly-rated schools in the Palm Beach County School District. The Addison Mizner School teaches students from kindergarten through eighth grade, boasting an A-minus score on Niche. The school offers a Pre-Business IT Academy, resulting in an Internet Business Associate Certificate. High schoolers will likely attend Boca Raton Community High School, which has an A-plus Niche grade. Boca Raton High was one of the first schools in the state to offer the Cambridge AICE program, which includes 31 courses. As of 2024, 271 students received an AICE diploma.Surf and turf at Chops Lobster Bar
Camino Gardens is about 2 miles from Downtown Boca Raton, the city’s hub for arts, entertainment, and shopping centered around Mizner Park. East Boca has several shopping centers and restaurants on the way to downtown and along the coastline. The Royal Palm Place shopping center has an array of upscale retail options and restaurants. Chops Lobster Bar is a go-to place for a steak dinner. Sushi by Bou offers handmade sushi rolls and specialty cocktails.Tee time at the Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club
Camino Gardens is surrounded by several golf and country clubs in southern Boca Raton. The Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club is an invite-only private club that offers a Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course and a marina among other amenities. The semi-private Deer Creek Golf Club also offers an 18-hole course, in addition to a clubhouse and golf pro shop. Though many courses in the area are private, Boca Raton has several public courses like the Osprey Point Golf Course.Easy commuting to South Florida hubs
Interstate 95, which is less than a mile from Camino Gardens, gives residents easy commuting convenience around South Florida. “Boca is nice because it’s close to all of the interesting downtown areas like West Palm or Fort Lauderdale, and then come back to Boca where it’s quiet,” Rey says. Residents can use I-95 to reach West Palm Beach, which is about 30 miles away, or Fort Lauderdale, about 20 miles out. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is the closest major airport that flies commercial flights, set about 26 miles away. Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital, about 3 miles from Camino Gardens, has 400 beds and offers an array of specialty services.
