Easy sailing at Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club
Though residents don’t need to be members of the Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club, being a member comes with a lot of perks. The country club is home to an 18-hole, Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course, plus an onsite marina that offers concierge services. “It is truly a boater’s paradise with beach access, where residents have direct access to the Intracoastal Waterway and beyond, making it the ideal setting for those who love to spend their time on the water,” Levy says. The club also has a fitness center as well as tennis and bocce courts. After a round of golf, members can grab a meal at one of the casual or upscale restaurants. Membership is by invitation, and candidates must go through a selection process.

Luxury estates and waterfront properties
Much, if not all, of the homes in the guard-gated community are custom-built. “The homes are state of the art, the best you’re going to have in terms of luxury homes,” Levy says. Though some homes have similarities, like the red-tiled roofs in Mediterranean-style homes, most properties on the palm tree-lined streets are unique. Prices can range anywhere from $4 million to $35 million based on square footage, amenities and proximity to the water. A homeowners association takes care of neighborhood upkeep, with annual dues for around $4,000.

Miles of shoreline less than a mile away
In addition to having access to the Royal Palm marina, residents are less than a mile from several of Boca Raton’s oceanfront parks. South Beach Park has over 24 acres of sandy shoreline and clear water for visitors to go for a swim or surf the waves. Closer to home, South Inlet Park has a pavilion area perfect for a weekend barbecue, as well as a playground for kids. Parents can also take their kids to the Boca 18th Street Playground, which has an expansive play area.

Oceanfront dining at JB's
When Royal Palm residents aren’t dining at the 19th Hole or the Yacht Club in the country club, there is an array of options nearby. The Cove sits along a channel of Lake Boca Raton, offering seafood dishes and a great view of the waterfront from their patio area. JB’s on the Beach often has live music, which adds to its lively atmosphere. Chops Lobster Bar, an upscale steakhouse, is about a mile away from the neighborhood. For groceries or daily essentials, the Hillsborough Square shopping center has a Publix. Route 1, a major thoroughfare in the area, is lined with shopping centers and everything from chain fast food spots to local restaurants.

An easy route to Downtown Boca
Royal Palm is about 3 miles from Downtown Boca Raton, the city’s artistic and shopping hub. Downtown Boca is also home to the city’s Brightline station, part of a high-speed rail system that travels from Miami to Orlando. Residents can also use Route 1 to make their way around South Florida. For medical care, residents are 4 miles from the Baptist Health Regional Hospital and 6 miles from the Boca Raton Airport, which flies recreational and corporate flights.Palm Beach County Schools get high marks
Kids in the community will likely be zoned to Boca Raton Elementary School, which has a B grade on Niche. Boca Raton Community Middle School, as well as Boca Raton Community High School, are two highly-rated schools in the Palm Beach County School District. The A-minus-rated middle school has concert and symphonic bands among many other programs. Boca Raton High School’s academic excellence has resulted in the school receiving an A from the Florida Department of Education for 16 years in a row. There are also private school options, including Somerset Academy and the Palm Beach International Academy.
