The neighborhood was established in 1979 and has over 600 single-family homes with views of artificial lakes and nature preserves. It is also common to see wildlife such as eagles, hawks and turtles. Homes are typically on lots “larger than your average newer community,” says Lauren Brooker, a real estate advisor with COMPASS Florida Naples. The neighborhood also offers homebuyers various styles to choose from and the option to have a backyard pool.

Home variety in an HOA-controlled community

Brooker says prices for homes in Imperial Golf Estates vary between $600,000 and $1.3 million. Condos closer to the entrance on U.S. 41 are between $300,000 and $450,000. The neighborhood has ranch-style homes, New Traditionals and Mediterranean revivals. The area is HOA-controlled, with residents paying over $600 per quarter. Brooker says Imperial Golf Estates attracts both families and retirees.

Imperial Golf Club and parks in Collier County

The Imperial Golf Club has two 18-hole layouts, with the east course reaching over 7,000 yards. The private club, which has no affiliation with the HOA, comes with a $100,000 initiation fee. There is an estimated three-year waitlist. The course hosts private events. Public golf courses in the area include Bonita Fairways and the nine-hole Saltleaf Golf Preserve. The community is 12 miles north of downtown Naples, which hosts multiple events throughout the year, including the National Arts Fair at the Naples Art Institute. The annual Stone Crab Festival in October celebrates the start of the season. Green spaces outside the community include Delnor-Wiggins State Park, 4 miles west in Naples. The park has hiking trails, snorkeling and small boat launches. Veterans Community Park has baseball fields, pickleball courts and a dog park.

Top-rated schools and a new high school close by

Students in the neighborhood attend Collier County Public Schools and typically start at Veterans Memorial Elementary School, which scores an A on Niche. Middle school students attend North Naples Middle School, also rated an A. Opened in 2023, Aubrey Rogers High School is just north of Imperial Golf Estates and is currently unrated on Niche. The school offers engineering and criminal justice programs.

Dining and shopping locations on U.S. 41

The golf club does have a restaurant, available only to members. Other dining locations are along U.S. 41 and include chains and local spots. Jack’s Seafood Bar and Grill has daily happy hour specials and a rotating music schedule. Islas Modern Caribe serves Puerto Rican and Caribbean-influenced dishes. Big-box retailers and Walmart are to the south in Naples on U.S. 41. Grocery stores, including Publix, are north along the highway. The closest hospital is NCH’s North Naples Campus.
