Northview's homes feature various styles while remaining at a manageable price point

Northview's tree-lined streets offer a mix of different home styles. Large Tudor Revivals and New Traditional-style properties with brick facades sit alongside smaller Craftsmans and ranch-style homes. Many residences were constructed between the 1980s and '90s, though some newer homes have taken root in the neighborhood. According to local Realtor Angelica Fernandez of Keller Williams Houston Central, who has sold dozens of homes around Greater Houston, affordability is one of the main factors contributing to the uptick in population around the area. "It's definitely growing and becoming a beautiful area, to be quite honest," she says. "It's very affordable. You can buy a house within $250,000 with three bedrooms and two baths."

Proximity to George Bush Intercontinental Airport is a solid perk for frequent travelers

Northview isn't walkable, so vehicle access is advised for most commutes. Luckily, the neighborhood offers outstanding access to major roads and highways. Interstate 45 serves as Northview's western border, while the Hardy Toll Road runs directly through the center of the community. Northview also sits just west of George Bush Intercontinental Airport, which is a solid perk for frequent flyers. However, according to local Realtor Brittni Johnson of HomeSmart, the noisiness of living next to a major airport can be unpleasant to some.

The Mercer Botanic Gardens are just a short drive from Northview

The Northview Neighborhood Center sits in the heart of the community, serving as a top spot for friendly tennis matches and dips in the pool. Lochinvar Golf Club, a premier destination to book weekend tee times, also sits on Northview's southside off Farrell Road. Additionally, the Mercer Botanic Gardens sits just a mile north of the neighborhood. The 180-acre tract is a top spot for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a network of paths through the area's forests.
