Most of Glen Allen’s homes were built in the 1990s by Drees Homes as the city expanded with newer suburbs and developments like Bowie Town Center, which provided greater shopping access for residents and folks around Prince George’s County. “It’s one of those new subdivisions around the outskirts of Bowie that’s been built in the last 30 years,” says Kyle McCarthy, a Realtor associate with Re/Max Leading Edge with over 40 years of experience. This area offers newer properties than many of the city’s 1960s-era Levitt homes and is close to city parks and regional attractions like Six Flags America.
