Single-family Colonial Revivals along tree-lined streets
Old Stage mostly has single-family homes built from the 1980s through the 2000s. Prices range from $500,000 to $650,000, varying by square footage and lot size. Prominent architectural styles include split levels and Colonial Revivals, often featuring attached garages. The Olde Stage HOA sets bylaws and handles community maintenance needs for the neighborhood. Old Stage is a newer community compared to Bowie’s more common 1960s-era neighborhoods, which are full of smaller, lower-priced houses designed by famous midcentury developer William Levitt. “Old Stage is outside of the Levitt complex,” says Bill Franklin, a former Bowie local and Team Leader at Bill Franklin Real Estate Group with Long & Foster Real Estate. “Levitt construction was the original Bowie, but these newer developments and suburbs are what’s known as the newer Bowie.”Old Stage hosts several houses of worship that foster community connections, including the Praise Restoration Center and the First Mystery Church of Christ.
